The Launch

Seven families, one workshop.

Kakal Brothers has manufactured architectural hardware in Mumbai since 1960. The 2026 New Range is our newest body of work — and it moves in a different direction to our Swarovski-crystal signature pieces. Where those catch light, these hold shadow: hand-fluted discs, sand-cast relief, deep-etched mehndi, knurled collars and a cast ginkgo leaf.

Every piece is solid brass, made in-house — cast, turned, etched, buffed and finished under one roof in Jogeshwari East. Nothing here is bought in, and nothing here is a stock import. That also means every dimension on this page can be changed: lengths, fixing centres, plate sizes, finish, even the depth of the relief.

The range is aimed at the same projects we have always served — ₹10 crore-plus villas and bungalows, boutique hotels, palaces and fit-outs — and it is sold direct to trade: contractors, builders, architects, interior designers and PMCs, with BOQ project pricing, site samples and no middlemen. We ship across India and export to the GCC, Africa, the UK, Europe and the USA.

The Families

What each family is for.

Seven distinct languages in the same material. Mix them across a house, or run one family from the entrance door through to the wardrobe fronts.

Fluted sunburst

Solstice

A hand-fluted brass disc that throws a different shadow at every hour of the day, paired with slim rod pulls. The rosette can be specified on its own as a back plate, or with a matching 3-rod or single-rod pull for twin-leaf entrances.

Packed stone relief

Terra

Close-packed rounded forms, like a dry-stone wall drawn into a handle. Sand-cast in solid brass and finished in a darkened antique bronze, so the raised stones take the light and the joints between them hold the shadow. Solid face, no piercing.

Pierced openwork

Lava

Interlacing ribbons cast with the gaps left open, so the door reads through the handle. A molten flow caught as it set — sharp folded ridges polished bright against dark recesses, and no two castings alike.

Bamboo segment

Bansi

A turned, segmented bamboo profile in solid brass — slim enough for a classical panelled leaf, long enough to read on a double-height entrance. Supplied as a matched left/right pair.

Etched mehndi

Mehndi

Traditional mehndi, doodle and paisley work deep-etched into brass, then highlighted so the pattern holds its contrast. Offered as the C Doodle — a half-round C-form pull for main and pivot doors — and as recessed flush pulls in three plate sizes for sliding and pocket doors.

A cast ginkgo leaf in rose-bronze, supplied as left and right pairs so a run of wardrobe or vanity fronts reads as a single planted motif. Single-screw fix.

Coastal & sea-facing projects. Solid-brass cores can be supplied with lacquered or PVD coatings that resist salt air — the same specification we ship to Mumbai sea-facing villas, Gulf beachfront villas and island resorts.

Custom work. Bespoke lengths, fixing centres and finishes are routine. We also manufacture entirely to an architect's drawing — that has been the core of the workshop since 1960. What is the Kakal Brothers 2026 New Range?

The 2026 New Range is our latest launch of sculpted and etched solid-brass architectural hardware — six design families (Solstice, Terra, Lava, Bansi, Mehndi and Ginkgo) covering main door pull handles, rosettes and back plates, flush and sliding-door pulls and cast cabinet knobs. Every piece is manufactured at our Mumbai workshop, where we have made luxury hardware since 1960.

Which materials and finishes is the New Range available in?

All pieces are solid brass — sand-cast, turned or deep-etched depending on the family. Standard finishes are Antique Brass, Satin Brass, Gun-Metal / Antique Bronze, Rose Bronze and Black-Gold patina. Chrome, PVD Gold, Rose Gold and Black Nickel are available to order, including salt-air-resistant PVD for coastal and sea-facing projects.

What sizes are available?

Main door pull bars in the Solstice, Terra, Lava and Bansi families are made from roughly 600 mm up to 1800 mm centre-to-centre, back-to-back or single-fix. Mehndi flush pulls come in three standard plate sizes, and the C Doodle half-round pull is made to order. Ginkgo cabinet knobs are supplied as left/right pairs. Confirmed size charts are being finalised — WhatsApp us for the current cutting list.

Are prices published for the New Range?

Not yet. The 2026 New Range has just launched and pricing is issued on enquiry, per project, as a BOQ line item. Our published 2026 price catalogue covers our existing 159 designs. Send your door schedule or BOQ on WhatsApp and we will return an itemised quote, typically within 24 hours.

Can the New Range be customised for a project?

Yes. Lengths, fixing centres, finish and even the depth of the cast or etched relief can be adjusted to a project specification. We also produce fully bespoke designs from an architect's drawing — custom work is what the workshop has done since 1960.

Do you supply contractors, architects and PMCs directly?

Yes — we are the manufacturer and we sell direct to trade with no middlemen. BOQ project pricing, site samples and custom finishes are standard for villa and bungalow contractors, builders, architects, interior designers and project management consultants across India and for export to the GCC, Africa, the UK, Europe and the USA.

Can I order samples of the New Range?
